Before The Living Room existed, we met in Living Rooms; in one another's homes. While we await the opening of our facility, we remain committed to our mission and to creating an environment for meaningful friendships between mothers while sharing the encouragement of Jesus and the bible. That is why we are hosting in-home small groups led by peers for peers. Our focus is on building a network of hospitality, encouragement and friendship for moms across Marquette county.

These groups exist to shine the light of Jesus, provide real and practical encouragement tools, and to foster a sense of belonging within our mothers and their community.

Our Fall Sessions will be beginning the first week in October and going through the week of December 14th.

We are not a shove it down your throat kind of christian organization, nor are we shy about our faith. We also are not affiliated with any denomination of Christianity or local church body. We purely exist to share hope and encouragement to our local mama's in an environment that is fueled by encouragement, relatability and real friendships.
You just have to be a mom who would like to meet other moms in a similar season of life. All of our groups are peer-led by other mama's just like you!

Christian or not, seasoned mama or pregnant with your first, and everywhere in between. You are welcome here, just as you are, right where you are in this season of life. Who you are right now is more than enough. You will never be pressured to agree, pray or share more than you want.

You are allowed to bring your real life with you, whatever that looks like. Celebrations and joys, trials and doubts, questions, and confidence. All of it is welcome here, we do not celebrate perfection or adhere to false narratives. This is real life, let's talk about it.

We exist to combat maternal isolation and to combat maternal mental health struggles through the gift of authentic relationships. Isolation is heavy in the U.P. and it is our goal that you leave each group feeling seen, loved, lighter and more connected than before.

- Wednesdays at 10am in Ishpeming - This group is open to all mamas and kiddos of all ages are welcome to attend! Four Spots are Available
- Wednesdays at 2pm in Negaunee - This group is open to all mamas and kiddos of all ages are welcome to attend! Four Spots are Available
- Fridays at To Be Determined in - This group is open to all SINGLE mamas and kiddos of all ages are welcome to attend! Four Spots are Available
- The 2nd Thursday of the Month at 7pm in Negaunee - This is a crafting group open to all mamas, kiddos are not permitted to attend. Only adults, please. Each person will be asked to pitch in $5 for crafting supplies each session. 15 Spots are Available.

First 10-minutes: Arrival & Greetings
20-minutes: Circle up, introductions and relatable ice breaker discussion.
Time of encouragement: Brief devotional and encouraging scripture applicable for all, followed by a thoughtful conversation and time to pause.
Last five to 10-minutes: Wrap-up and look ahead for the coming week

All mama's are welcome! No matter your age or stage, we have a group for you.
This is a safe-place, what is shared here stays here. With the exception of any information shared that could be life-threatening or harmful to yourself or someone else.
There is never any pressure to share anything you don't want to share, nor do you have to participate in anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.
We will always approach you with an open-mind, curiosity and a willingness to learn more about you in a celebratory way. We do not exist to "correct" anyone.
We are here to explore and grow together. You do not have to have a shared faith to find something encouraging from your time.
Our goal is always one of encouragement. It is our aim for everyone to leave each meeting feeling lighter, not heavier.
